Geely Galaxy Series: A Game-Changer in Hybrid and Electric Cars

It’s not a Polestar, a Zeekr nor a Volvo, but a Galaxy. With the introduction of the Galaxy Series, Geely Auto has cemented its position as a market leader. The Galaxy L7 SUV, the first model in the line, is revolutionary in the hybrid market. The L7 is the ideal blend of performance and fuel efficiency, reaching a top speed of 200 km/h and accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in just 7.5 seconds. What’s even more astounding is that under hybrid driving circumstances, the L7 can travel up to 1370 km on a single tank of fuel. This hybrid SUV has a previously unheard-of range, demonstrating Geely’s dedication to sustainability and innovation. This is made feasible by the three-speed dedicated hybrid transmission and the NordThor hybrid powerplant.

Did Geely Just Make the Smartest Vehicles on the Road?

The Galaxy N-Operating System, which Geely has created, is a new operating system for the Galaxy series. The Galaxy series will become the most intelligent vehicles on the road thanks to this system, which was created in accordance with the Smart Geely 2025 goal. The Galaxy N OS raises the bar for in-car technology with the fastest system startup and response time in its class. But the L7 SUV is not the only focus of the Galaxy series. The two model lines Geely will provide are L for PHEVs and E for pure EVs, the company has said. The E8, which will debut in Q4 2023, will be the first vehicle carrying it.

The new Galaxy N-Operating System makes the Galaxy series the smartest cars on the road. The brand-securing new operating system was created in accordance with Geely Auto’s Smart Geely 2025 plan, which places a strong emphasis on internally produced chips, operating systems, intelligent cloud computing, and satellite networks. The Galaxy N OS enables its models to have the fastest system startup and reaction time in their class, requiring just 0.5 seconds to reach a ready operational state. This is made possible by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8155 vehicle chip. SA8155P is an integrated, next-generation automotive cockpit platform. It is a 7nm system-on-chip (SoC) designed with custom hardware blocks including An octa-core CPU subsystem, Custom Qualcomm® Adreno™ Generation 6 GPU, among other amenities.

Smart Strategy for the Future of the Automotive Industry

As if it were enough with Zeekr and Polestar, Geely’s commitment to sustainability doesn’t stop with the Galaxy series, not the phones, though. The company has also announced the consolidation of many of its brands and series, including the Geometry independent brand, which will return under Geely as a Geometry series. Together with the Galaxy and Star series, these will be the three main sub-brands of Geely. This move towards consolidation and focus on electrification shows that Geely is serious about the future of the automotive industry. With over ten independent car brands, including Volvo, Lotus, Lynk&Co, and Zeekr, Geely has a wealth of resources at its disposal. By bringing these brands and series under one umbrella, Geely can streamline its operations and focus on creating the best possible products for its customers.

Galaxy Series: A Game-Changer in Hybrid and Electric Cars

At this point of the race, the launch of the Galaxy series by Geely Auto is a significant development for the sector. Geely is positioning itself as a global leader in the hybrid and electric car sectors with the L7 SUV and the impending E8 pure EV. The unification of brands and series demonstrates Geely’s commitment to the future of the automotive industry, and the new operating system, the Galaxy N-Operating System, raises the bar for in-car technology. Geely’s dedication to sustainability and innovation is demonstrated by the Galaxy series, and we’re excited to see what they come up with next.
